I cannot stress how important it is for women in anti-abortion states to be careful of which organizations they contact for information and resources–many anti-abortion groups pose as abortion providers, in an attempt to lure unsuspecting women into their clinics so they can attempt to coerce them into not obtaining an abortion, often through the promotion of misinformation about abortion, and in some cases, outright threats. They have been known to perform ultrasounds by unlicensed techs who not only try to lie to the woman about her fetus’s gestational age, and most disturbingly, they have also failed to disclose medical conditions discovered by the ultrasound that could affect the woman’s health–their goal is to stop women from having an abortion, even if the pregnancy places their lives in danger. In addition, your privacy will not be protected by these groups–not only have they been known to stalk and harass women they think might obtain an abortion, but they would also think nothing of reporting such a woman to the local authorities in order to attempt to see her criminally charged.

Therefore, be very careful about who you contact for abortion services or advice–the list below contains verified links to well know providers of abortion services, financial and logistical assistance in obtaining abortion care.

YOU, and only YOU, have a right to decide what happens to your body, as well as when and if you will have children.

For the safety of domestic violence survivors or women who need access to reproductive health services, please do not directly share this page unless you are sure it is safe to do so. Many abusers monitor their victim’s internet usage–and in many red states, a woman seeking information about abortion would do well to keep that fact as private as possible. There is no guarantee that her phone or computer will not be searched by law enforcement if someone turns her in for a suspected abortion. If you suspect it may not be safe to directly share this page with someone, you might instead share an article that has recipes–you could possibly tell the person you are sharing it with to “check out the other links on this site.”
