Well, there’s really not a whole lot to say about me–I am just an ordinary person. I work in healthcare, am happily divorced and single for many years, and have grown children. I love cats, and foster kitties wherever I can.
I am passionate about progressive politics and have been around the online left-wing ecosystem for many years, under various handles. I am particularly passionate about issues involving women’s rights, climate change, healthcare, and worker rights. I spent a few years when I was younger volunteering at a domestic violence shelter–that forever opened my eyes to the evils of patriarchy, classism, racism and hatred of LGBT folks.
I am something of a home cook and enjoy DIY projects and learning about home improvement and repair. I am not afraid of wielding power tools!
On this blog, it’s untelling what I will end up writing about–one day, I might share recipes, the next I might write a blog post about a social or political issue, and the next I might write about my kitties.
I called this blog Plain Old Jane because this is the unfiltered thoughts and ideas of a regular American woman.
